As health professionals and elected officials released information regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, masjid leaders hastened to coordinate the appropriate operational changes to reflect the new health and safety guidelines. 

Masjid ul- Haqq, located at 514 Wilson Street, Baltimore is the first mosque constructed over sixty-years ago to serve the Islamic population in Baltimore City. “This historic masjid has given birth to several masajid in Baltimore city as most of the Imams and Heads were tutored from Haqq” noted Sajjaad Washington, the Acting Imam.

In a show of Islamic hospitality, acceptability, tolerance and coexistence, the Dar-us Salaam community in College Park, Maryland organized a neighborhood barbeque for residents and first responders in North College Park on Saturday 27th April, 2019.

Upon completion of the funeral home, the facility will house a funeral parlor comprising of separate rooms for washing both male and female bodies, a freezer for storing the deceased and prayer rooms for janaza.
