The Islamic Society of Baltimore is very fortunate mashallah to welcome Hafiz Hammad Hai to our teaching staff this year. Hammad will be teaching Senior Boys, and we hope that he will be able to pass his love and passion of the Qu'ran to our oldest students. Hammad completed his hifz education at ISB and thereafter completed the Al Bayyinah Arabic language program in Irving, Texas. This past Ramadan, Hammad held a class at ISB in which he offered a flowing translation and discussion of some themes in the Qur'an. Also this year, Al Rahmah Sunday School is very blessed to announce a class specially designed for young Muslims who are hearing impaired. Pairing up with teachers trained in disability education, Al Rahmah Sunday school administrators recognized that we have many hearing impaired youth in our community. As a result, this year, Al Rahmah Sunday School is launching this new program, and we invite any hearing impaired students and their families to contact the administration about taking advantage of this special and unique opportunity.
