Weeknight School to Start At Dar Al Noor

Dar al Noor is the Islamic Center that serves the city of Manassas and its surroundings. Keeping the needs of the community in mind, Dar al Noor has implemented a weeknight Islamic school program , which has been running for the past four years. Brother Khaled Idris is the program coordinator.

" Not everybody can speak Arabic and this program is greatly needed by the community [children]. We used to have many more students but maybe some people have moved out of the community, our class sizes have decreased to half. We are starting a new year and have added a new curriulum, and new teachers, Sr. Ammara and Sr. Ghada are some of our teachers," he says.

The first day of classes will be Monday, November 19, 2012 In shaa Allah. Classes will be held every  Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The tuition is a $100 per child, sibling discounts and sponsorships are available.

These classes are offered for children in grades 1- 8. The new curriculum includes Qur'an memorization and recital (tilaawah), Seerah/Sunnah study of Prophet Mohamed (Sallallahu 'alyhi wa sallam), Arabic Language Reading and Writing,Islamic Studies.
