Effective November 8, 2013, the Executive Director of Institute of Social Policy and Understanding, Shireen Zaman will be leaving ISPU to take a position at the Proteus Group. Farhan Latif, ISPU’s Chief Operating Officer and Director of Policy Impact at ISPU will be the taking reign as the interim Executive Director. ISPU is the only Muslim thinktank in the district.
Last month, the Institute hosted a farewell for the departing director and wished her well for her new role.

It has been a privilege to work with brilliant minds who believe that research should inform policy development, and with dedicated public servants and community leaders who go beyond the call of duty to understand, and help build solutions, to the critical issues faced by our country,”said Zaman.
ISPU is seeking development and research interns for the Fall and Spring semesters.
