Sr Asma was selected as one of the five finalists in her category which was won by Ghanaian-American Daniel Ampomah, PhD, RN, NE-BC, faculty instructor, Chamberlain College of Nursing, Arlington, VA.
Asma Hanif, an advanced nurse practitioner, has worked tirelessly in providing care for the homeless, refugees, trafficking victims and women who are victims of domestic violence for more than the past 30 years.
"Our nursing excellence program honors nurses and the extraordinary contributions they make to patients, the profession and the nation’s health care. It has become the biggest and the best, and it is unique in the fact that the nurses it recognizes are nominated by nurses, selected by nurses and honored by nurses,” read an offical Nurse.com statement.
