Africa Update: A Forum on Current Events and ways we can help. 9am – 10am Registration (Free; donations accepted). 10am – 12noon Screening of "Motherland"(an exciting new film about Africa). 12noon – 1pm Lunch Break (food can be purchased on site). 1pm – 3pm Panel #1: Hodari Abdul-Ali, Give Peace A Chance Coalition (GPAC), Sudan’s Upcoming Referendum; Queen Mother Dorothy Lewis, NCOBRA International Affairs Commission, Report from the Global African Congress; Nana Farika Berhane, World African Diaspora Union (WADU), Reflections on the 5th Pan African Congress. 3pm – 5pm Panel #2: Paul Pumphrey, Friends of the Congo, Update on The Congo; Jacqueline Kakembo, Operations Crossroads, Report on Togo & Ghana; Obi Egbuna, The Herald Newspaper (Zimbabwe), News of Zimbabwe. Admission is Free and Open to the Public. Donations Accepted. Audience participation is welcomed and encouraged. This event is co-sponsored by GPAC, NCOBRA & WADU
