| Presented by the Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law, New Racism: The State of Hate in the United States. The event will host one speaker and two panels. John Relman will give a presentation on how Wells Fargo targeted black neighborhood with sub-standard loans. The first set of panelists will discuss Structural Racism, will discuss how the institutional inequalities effect minority populations in the United States. Specifically, the panelists will discuss voting rights, the immigration system, language access, and the school-to-prison pipeline. The second set of panelists on the Social Policy & Women Panel will discuss the newest forms of racism, the role of government and community organizations in combating racism, various movements throughout the United States, and the effect of racism on minority women.
