Objectives of the Competition
1- To service the Holy Book and promote the general standard of Quranic performance;
2- To create a sense of competition in the recitation initially and memorization later of the Holy Quran and encourage young
Muslims to perfect recitation;
3- To give both genders the opportunity to promote the general standard of the Quranic performance by way of recitation
and memorization;
4- To honor outstanding reciters of the Holy Quran at the local Metro Washington (MD,DC and VA)levels
