The Johns Hopkins Graduate Muslim Student Association and Health and Human Rights Student Group invite you to attend an event to support Br Ahmed Abu-Ali. Our New Orwellian Reality: Arrest without warrant, incarceration without trial, & buried alive for life. As a 22 year old American college student studying abroad, he was arrested without warrant and held in a foreign prison for 2 years with no charges and no access to an attorney, tortured and forced to confess to a thought crime, and ultimately sentenced to life in solitary confinement. Speakers: Ashraf Nubani, National Coalition to Protect Civil Freedoms; Mariam Abu-Ali, ICNA Council on Social Justice; Avon Twitty (aka Abdul Ali), former CMU Inmate. Dinner will be provided
