| Project Sakinah is a national initiative of Dar Al Islam, a New Mexico based organization under the leadership of Dr Mohammad Shafi. It aims to prevent family violence and build a healthy, violence free Islamic community. We are helping community members, leaders, imams and advocates in teaming up to bring a real change in the community's attitude towards family violence. With this program, we aim to launch a Project Sakinah team in Northern Virginia. Speakers: Anas Coburn, managing director of Project Sakinah; Zerqa Abid, Campaign manager of Project Sakinah; Asma Hanif, Executive Director of Muslimat Al-Nisaa; and Salma Abugideiri, Board Member of Peaceful families project.
