| In cooperation with The D.C. Commission on Volunteerism Presents 2 Day Disaster Preparedness Workshop. Workshop facilitator: Firefighter Abdul Majeed Calvert L Potter, DC Fire & EMS Dept Special Operations Division of Homeland Security Rescue #3. You'll learn basic skills in: Hazards that may inpact your area, basic disaster response skills, fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, disaster medical operations, disaster psychology, and terrorism. Saturday, March 16th 2013 and Saturday March 23rd 2013, at 10:00am to 6:30pm on both days. To get your certification, attendance at both sessions is mandatory. Limited seating available. Donations accepted to cover lunch and childcare expenses.
