The Muslim Public Affairs Council, in partnership with the New America Foundation (NAF), will host a briefing on countering violent extremism (CVE) and online radicalization. The Boston Marathon attack carried out by the Tsarnaev brothers, who had allegedly viewed online videos promoting extremism and violence, has raised important questions about the threat of online radicalization. At the briefing, MPAC and NAF leaders will be joined by Imam Suhaib Webb from Boston and homeland security consultant Mohamed Elibiary to discuss the complex dimensions of online radicalization, and what can be done to prevent violent extremism. To RSVP, go to:
Location: New America Foundation, 1899 L St., NW, Washington, DC, 20036
Contact: For more information, please call MPAC’s Washington, DC, office at 202.547.7701.
