Journey to Mecca is coming to the Maryland Science Center in Baltimore this weekend only! This big screen IMAX movie, running approximately 45 minutes, tells the epic story of Ibn Battuta, one of the greatest explorers of Islamic civilization, who leaves Morocco in 1325 and takes a famed journey 3,000 miles east to perform Hajj in the sacred city of Mecca. This big screen IMAX experience follows Ibn Battuta's journey, zeroing in on the Hajj - the first and only time an IMAX camera has been admitted into the Grand Mosque in Mecca to capture an aerial view of the Hajj from a helicopter hovering 200 feet above Mecca.

With very limited screenings in the US and around the world, you don't want to miss this!  Spread the word and bring family and friends!  The success of these screenings will largely determine whether or not the Science Center agrees to show the film in the future.

Tickets can be purchased at the Science Center's box office. To purchase tickets in advance, call 410-685-2370 or visit the Maryland Science Center's website here:
