The paper you are reading is an immensely valuable part of the greater Muslim community in the DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia area. We like to think of ourselves as a proof of concept paper. Muslims need their own media. Muslims need their own voice. Muslims need to be united. These are concepts worthy of Islam; your newspaper is the actualization -- be it on a small scale -- of these concepts.

Scores of you have lauded our successes, and our triumphs are your triumphs. This paper has incredible potential to be an agent of change and a catalyst for coming together. But it needs time, and it needs support.
