DC Hidayah 2012: Theme Breakdown Series
Somehow it’s difficult to come to terms
With something that is earned yet so undeserved.
Perhaps that is why it is often forgotten
As a distant peace of mind, only seldom sought in.
Perhaps for that reason, worldly matters seem more important,
And we tend to ignore pending pleasures of vast assortment:
The beauty, the vastness, the sentiments of contentment
Doubts and worries would vanish with a musky fragrant scent.
And the beaming souls, given a grand title,
‘The People of Paradise’ with glowing faces, smile.
They bask in the sheer reality of such a surreal release,
Yet they are called for even more on the Day of Increase.
The incident is striking and igniting the realization
That The Almighty is presenting excessive compensation
For all the tests, the trials, and the burdens they bore.
Yes, this is the moment we have all been waiting for.
On that Day, when time is held still,
A longing shall be fulfilled by Majestic Will.
Allah, through His mercy offers a heavenly reward,
Of which if we yearn for, we must run towards.
When a light will shine and encompass the divine terrain,
They shall be greeted by Ar-Rahman, exalted be His name.
And they shall be the ones to see, after praising in return
A bright Divine Light that, out of His Gentleness, does not burn.
The reward is such on the Day of Increase,
In that blessed place of eternal internal peace.
“Some faces that Day will be shining and radiant, looking at their Lord.”
(Surah al-Qiyaamah: 22 - 23)
