It is getting increasing hard to make ends meet, with the price of staples increasing. To help alleviate the burden and help folks stretch their limited budgets, the Social Services at the Islamic Center of Maryland announced the beginning of the ICM Food Bank. Initially the only drop off location will be at ICM in Gaithersburg, MD.

The center will collect donations of nonperishable items on an ongoing basis. Items requested are: rice, oil, sugar, pasta, pasta sauce, tuna, cereal, coffee, tea, canned milk, kids snacks, beans, laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, and toothpaste. For those who would like to donate pre-made packages can make a check out to ICM and include "Food Bank" on the memo line. A basic box of food items costs $50.
