In the past seventeen combined celebrations since 1997 we have had anywhere from 12,000 to 25,000 Muslims attend. Please visit www.dceid.org for more information

We will have Four Prayers/Khutba Sessions at 7:30am, 8:30am, 9:45am and 11:00am.  The Khutbas will focus on the Story of Prophet Abraham, Hajjar, Prophet Ismail  (Peace Be Upon Them), and their Sacrifice and Commitment to Allah(SWT). We plan to continue to have a Blood Drive and Canned Food Drive to help those in need, inshaAllah. The celebration consists of over 10 rides and games for children including moonbounces, cotton candy, popcorn, arts & craft, and more. We will have more than 40 vendors, ranging from small businesses to non-profit groups to educational institutions, showcasing their goods and services.  And the food vendor will sell a delicious variety of cuisine.  It is truly a festive day!

Local and national media have realized this and our events have been covered by CNN, PBS, Newsweek, The Odyssey Channel, Voice of America, The Washington Post, The Washington Times, News Channel 8, Channel 4, Channel 9 , and The Herndon Observer.  We have had Interfaith Leaders join us at the Celebration to meet and congratuate us on Eid. In fact, former Senator George Allen,  former Congressman Tom Davis, Congressman Jim Moran, Virginia Delegate Tom Rust,  Former Fairfax County Supervisor Chairperson Kate Hanley, Loudoun County Supervisor Eugene Delguadio, and more have joined our celebrations in the past!

This event is organized and sponsored by several of the key Muslim organizations in the Washington metropolitan area. These include the All Dulles Area Muslim Society(ADAMS) (Sterling, VA), Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center(Falls Church, VA), Masjid Muhammad(Washington, DC), Manassas Mosque(Manassas, VA), Muslim Association of Virginia(Woodbridge, VA and Manassas, VA).  The event is co-sponsored by many local and national organizations including the Coordinating Council of Muslim Organizations in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area(CCMO).

All members of the community from the DC Metropolitan Area and the Mid-Atlantic area are invited to Celebrate Eid Al-Adha together in Unity for the Sake of Allah(SWT).
