Umm Zakiyyah, the well author of American-Muslim novels like “If I Should Speak”, held a book signing on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at the Islamic Heritage Museum, 2315 Martin Luther King Jr Ave, Washington DC. Umm Zakiyyah's novels fill a void in the fiction market for authentic voices of the American Muslim experience. Her novels have touched the lives of readers across the world, inspiring non-Muslims to accept Islam, Muslims to renew their faith, and avid readers to enjoy compelling, heart-moving tales. The book signing precedes the Muslim Fiction Conference which will take place in Atlanta, Georgia on Oct 6, 2012 10:00 am - 2:00 pm (Saturday) at the Emory Conference Center Hotel. An exclusive Author's Reception for women and students with Emory alumna and internationally acclaimed author Umm Zakiyyah will follow. The Muslim Link will publish an interview with Umm Zakiyyah in our October issue, inshaAllah. |
