Howard County Muslims Help Out with Flood Relief

On August 13, 2016 about two dozen youth volunteers from the United Maryland Muslim Council (UMMC) and the Howard County Muslim Council (HCMC) distributed bagged lunches to residents, construction workers, and volunteers who are all tirelessly working to rebuild Historical Ellicott City after recent flash flooding that unfortunately resulted in two deaths and damaged dozens of homes and businesses. Lunches were prepared fresh by Muslim Council volunteers and distributed on west side of the downtown Ellicott City. Additional lunches were later provided to the volunteers working at the Howard County George Howard Building helping residents and volunteers with needed supplies and coordinating rebuilding efforts. 

The residents and volunteers along with the County officials appreciated the support of the Muslim Community and thanked them for reaching out to them for helping.
