Dar al Noor lost a young member of its community at the prime of his youth.
Hamza Amjad, son of Mohammad Amjad and Naghmana Amjad of Woodbridge, and nephew of Aslam Chaudhry, passed way on Friday, May 11, 2018.
Hamza was only 21 years old; just graduated from Virginia Tech this semester.
Hamza was a regular youth volunteer at Dar al Noor. He graduated from the IAMAV Sunday Islamic school. The community remembers him as an active community member.
"Most if not all of our youth involved in the Muslim Association of Virginia (MAV) Youth program have been deeply effected by this grave tragedy,” read a statement from the center.
The community has scheduled a grief counseling session at Dar Alnoor on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 7:00PM especially the youth who knew Hamza.
